Sharif M. Bayyari
Sharif Bayyari founded Merchant e-Solutions, Inc. in 2000 and is the company’s President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. A successful entrepreneur, he brings a rich wealth of merchant processing market knowledge and managing public companies.
Prior to Merchant e-Solutions, Sharif was President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of BA Merchant Services (BAMS), a publicly traded subsidiary of Bank of America. In his six years at the helm of Bank of America’s merchant business, Sharif oversaw the substantial growth of that business, including an increase in revenue from $57MM to $225MM. In 1996, he oversaw the initial public offering of BA Merchant Services, Inc. and managed the company on a rapid growth and profitability track. By 1999, BAMS had achieved operating margins approaching 40% and had grown its portfolio to $55 billion. During his tenure, Sharif managed the complete restructuring of the merchant business, including the implementation of new accounting, operations, and transaction processing systems. Prior to Bank of America, Sharif was a successful Group Vice President in charge of merchant operations with National Data Corporation.
